Joe Rhodes muses on Bernie, a new film based on the murder of his aunt, who lived and died in the small town of Carthage, Texas. The film stars Shirley MacLaine as Aunt Marge, the wealthy victim, Matthew McConaughey as the district attorney, and Jack Black as Bernie Tiede, the funeral director who befriended and then killed Marge, and proceeded to spend a great deal of her fortune before Marge's son and some police officers found her body in her freezer.
