Erasmus
School of Law (ESL) is appointing a post-doc researcher (1 year, renewable) in
interdisciplinary studies of the rule of law and human rights to work within
the research project Integrating Normative and Functional Approaches to the
Rule of Law and Human Rights (INFAR). The post-doc researcher is expected to
work closely with colleagues of the ESL and the International Institute of
Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam.
The
particular research project of the post-doc researcher should focus on a
contextual (socio-legal or historical) analysis of a particular problem with a
transnational or international dimension, in which legal values and policy
objectives are in tension. The proposed research should either contribute to
understanding law and policy dimensions of the rule of law, or of human rights.
In
addition, the post-doc researcher is expected to assist with a range of key
organizational tasks associated with the second phase of INFAR (2018-2020),
including the organization of conferences and other meetings, the preparing of
funding proposals and project reporting.
